Phoenix is a band from Paris, France. They gave an excellent show last night in Montreal and I thought I’d post one of my favourite songs. This is their song Long Distance Call.

Vampire Weekend - Horchata
Vampire Weekend is a band from New York, NY. This is their song Horchata from their upcomming album Contra (out in January). With winter comming, I thought this song very appropriate. Horchata is a Spanish drink by the way, and yes, one would look psychotic sitting in Spain dinking horchata in a balaclava. I can’t wait for spring.
In December, drinking horchata
I’d look psychotic in a balaclava

Thom Yorke - Hearing Damage
Thom Yorke is from Oxford, UK. This is his song Hearing Damage.
As you may have noticed from the album art, this is a song off the soundtrack of the new Twilight movie, New Moon. And what a soundtrack! Death Cab For Cutie, Thom York, Lykkie Li, The Killers, Bon Iver, Sea Wolf, The Editors to name a few. More info and the whole list on Rolling Stone. I can’t wait (ya, I’m man enough to admit a I like Twilight
).

Sara Lov - My Body Is A Cage
Sara Lov is from Los Angeles, CA. This is her take on a beautiful (albeit very sad) Arcade Fire song, My Body Is A Cage. She recently played with Port O’Brien and Sea Wolf and it was great. Instead of a band she showed up with her vinyl record player. Awesome.
